Problem we were solving

Currently office work is for sedentary for most. Occasionally office workers will get up move to another room just to sit down again. They do this for ~[8 hours] every week day. Herman miller was well known for creating ergonomic, adjustable office furniture. But sedentary sitting for long periods has been linked to health issues.

Solution we built

Herman miller set out to encourage a balanced workday by nudging office workers to adjust how they worked throughout the day, based on a profile built by how they feel they best work.

  • Organized and facilitated usability testing on office suite (chair, desk, companion app) and delivered design adjustment recommendations to customer
